EQUIPMENT FOR GOALIES

Equipment is a very important part of your game. It should protect you while complementing your body type and style of play. You should feel comfortable and confident in your equipment, as it is an extension of you.

 

If your equipment does not fit you perfect or if you feel uncomfortable, or under protected, it will lead to confidence problems which will lead to goals against or even puck shyness (fear of the puck). The last thing a goalie should worry about is getting scored on and your equipment is at fault. 

 

All too often I met goalies with the wrong gear, so we will go a little more into detail on how your equipment should fit.
